Behemoth - Conjuration EP

Released : September 14, 2003
Recorded : June–September 2002
Genre : Blackened death metal
Length : 29:40
Label : Regain
Producer : Self-produced

This EP has a new original song, two covers, and seven live tracks from the Mystic Festival in 2001, so those tracks are when Behemoth was supporting Thelema.6. My favorite moment of the album is the first song "Conjuration ov Sleep Daemons". It's an original and could've fit in with the tracks on the Zos Kia Cultus album. Behemoth's cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Wish" is weird to hear but cool, similar to the vibe of their earlier cover of "Hello Spaceboy". And the cover of Venom's "Welcome to Hell" is good too. It's a little funny listening to Behemoth play Venom's evil rock 'n' roll. As for the live tracks, they're decent. I think with the style of music that Behemoth play, they need the perfect live sound to make their instruments sound clear. While the sound on these live songs is good, some parts sounds a little muddy. People already familiar with Behemoth's past death metal albums will get the most out of this EP.
